7075 aluminum 0.75″ dovetail multi-station fixture with 2.25″ dovetail base.
The RWP-024-6XC is a 0.75″ dovetail carousel for milling applications. Designed for modular use: (6) RWP-024 fixtures are arranged on a rotating base so multiple parts can be machined in a single setup. The rotating base mounts to the RWP-006 or RWP-006SS (see additional images); RWP-006/006SS sold separately.
Advantages of the Raptor Dovetail Fixturing System
Raptor dovetail fixtures are designed specifically for holding parts on 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers. While providing rigid clamping, they expose five full sides of the workpiece — the vast majority of features can be machined in a single setup. Raptor's unique spring-loaded dovetail clamp grips the part with as little as 1/8″ (3.2 mm) of material — less material waste, simpler stock preparation, and zero clamping distortion. Installation Instructions & Precautions
- The fixture must be securely bolted to the pallet or table using the supplied screws.
- Never modify or replace any screws, springs or clamps with non-original parts.
- Clamp tightening torque must be between 120–175 in-lbs, never exceed 175 in-lbs Most applications can be tightened directly with the supplied T-handle wrench, but a torque wrench is always recommended until the correct torque for your application is determined. Depending on workpiece size and material being cut, clamping force may need to be adjusted. Never over-tighten or under-tighten — either can cause clamp or fixture failure.
- When machining parts in dovetail workholding, strictly follow our pre-machining diagram; failure to do so may result in part release and/or fixture damage. Pay particular attention to the dimensions and corner radii specified in the diagram.
- Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury, or damage to the workpiece, cutting tools, fixture and/or machine tool.
